Gov. Tubban, PSWDO bring relief packs to Pasil barangays


Tabuk City, Kalinga-The people from barangays Balinciagao Sur and Balinciagao Norte expressed gratitude after receiving family relief packs from the provincial government, which Governor Ferdinand Tubban and Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office personally delivered to said communities on Thursday, April 22, 2021.



The Provincial Information Office said that both barangay are under surgical lockdown after reporting a surge of COVID 19 cases.

Through the initiative of Governor Tubban, a total of 311 relief packs were distributed to said barangays. Each pack contains one (1) tin of meatloaf, three (3) tins of sardines, five (5) pouches of payless, one (1) kilogram of salt, one (1) kilogram of sugar, and five (5) kilos of rice.

Governor Tubban, said the provision of the goods aside from being a duty for the government to give relief packs to communities under lockdown, felt humbled with the feedbacks of the beneficiaries saying that the action is also a way of showing care to brethren and kakailyans.

“Personally, I obtain satisfaction and fulfillment out of helping yKalingas trying to survive with their daily needs. It’s basically nice to hear their grateful feedbacks about our relief operations, but what uplifts us is that we were able to serve and assist yKalingas from small aid to larger scope,” Governor Tubban said in response to recipients.

The provincial government through the PSWDO is also scheduled to conduct relief operation in Tabuk City and other areas that are and will undergo surgical lockdown.
