‘Help others, don’t be selfish, work with commitment’ – Kalinga Gov. Tubban to gov't employees

Tabuk City, Kalinga – Kalinga Governor Ferdinand Tubban opened the working year with a message to government employees thanking them for their dedication and sacrifice in the last year and encouraging them to b


e flexible, stay connected with the people, and work hard.


"I encourage you to adapt to new ways of working, new methods to engage with our workforce and the community, explore methods to enable you to work and stay connected with your colleagues and our clients. To have a more successful year and to overcome the challenges of this pandemic, please join me in working hard, with passion and with commitment," said the Governor.

The Governor spoke during the first flag ceremony of the year this January 4, 2021 before the employees at the astrodome after the mass. Also present were the line agencies in the province and the Congressman of the Province, Allan Jesse Mangaoang, who likewise sent a message of inspiration and confidence.


In an interview with the Governor regarding public service, he said “Tulungan yu dagidiay agpatulong kenya yu. Haan yu nga imutan ti tao nu adda dumawat ti tulong and if you think that you do not have the power to help those in need, please do not tell them that you can’t because you are in the position where you can get access to the authorities. Ageffort kayo. You can either make their day or break their day... be mindful of your words and actions because you are in the public’s service."

Tubban likewise mentioned in the interview some of the accomplishments of the previous year which include infrastructure projects like the Bado-Dangwa farm to market road, the Magnao and Pinagan Road, and Lapat Bridge in Pinukpuk; for security and safety, such as the installation of street lights in Tabuk City; for health and medication, the KPH Delivery ward and the putting up of a dialysis area, construction of isolation units; for social welfare and aid to rebel returnees, the provision of assistance and livelihood projects, food aid, cash aid, and others; for partnership, a stronger ties with DICT, DOST, DTI, Landbank, DBP.


“The successes and victories we achieved as a government unit are undoubtedly dependent on the contributions of the whole workforce, civic organizations and the private sector in the province,” stated Tubban.


At the end of his talk before the Provincial LGU heads, middle management and employees, Tubban challenged them to join him in working hard, with passion and with commitment for a more successful year and for overcoming the troubles brought by the pandemic.
