Hergie Bacyadan gets P1M incentive for representing PH in Paris Olympics

Tabuk City, Kalinga – iKalinga Olympian is back in the Philippines and was welcomed with citation and a million-peso incentive on August 13, 2024.

 

Arriving back into the country on Tuesday after playing in the largest global sporting event, boxer Hergie Tao-wag Bacyadan of Tanudan along with fellow Olympians was received by President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. at the Malacañan Palace.

 

During the program, Bacyadan was awarded with Presidential Citation and a replica of a cheque amounting to P1 million as incentive for giving honor and pride to the country in the 2024 Paris Olympics.

 

He was accompanied by his parents and family members when he received the award from President Marcos.

 

In a Facebook post, the iKalinga athlete thanked the president for the warm welcome thrown for them and his fellow Olympians.

 

On August 14, the 17 Filipino athletes led by two-time gold medalist in Paris 2024 Carlos Yulo paraded from Aliw Theater in Pasay City to the Rizal Memorial Coliseum where fans flocked to meet and greet them.
