Hit-and-run driver killing SWAT officer in Tabuk City still at large


Tabuk City, Kalinga – Police Master Sergeant Aldrine Agpad, the police officer who died in a hit-and-run in Tabuk City, was brought to his resting place at Ileb, Nambaran cemetery today, December 4, 2023.


Agpad who served as a member of the Special Weapons and Tactics Philippines (SWAT) team in the city was found motionless on the road in Nambaran on December 1 and was ferried to the hospital but was declared dead on arrival.

He was believed to have been hit by a vehicle due to the debris discovered beside his body.


Three days after the incident, the 36-year-old police officer was finally laid to rest at the Nambaran Artistic Tombs after his funeral mass at St. John The Evangelist Parish.


Agpad is survived by his wife and two young kids – a kinder and a baby who is barely a year old.


As of this writing, the police are still conducting their investigation and the hit-and-run suspect is yet to be identified.


The victim’s family, meantime, is pleading for justice to be served and for the driver behind the hit-in-run incident to surrender to authorities.
