IFSU suspends wearing of uniform due to extreme heat


Ifugao, Philippines – As the temperature continue to soar, Ifugao State University relaxed their rules on uniforms.

 

The Office of the University President issued on Thursday an order, temporarily suspending the wearing of uniform for all students, including faculty members and personnel.

 

Effective on said day, both students and university personnel can wear civilian attire to protect them from the heat.


The university president, however, noted that though they were allowed for comfortable and light clothing, they must see to it that they are wearing appropriate clothes when entering the premises.

 

Further, the school ID is still strictly required.

 

The suspension remains effective until lifter or when the temperature goes down.

 

Based on the weather outlook of the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA), those in Ifugao province experience temperature ranging from 17°Celsius (°C) to 34°C.
