Ifugao, Philippines – An Ifugao boxer needed less than three minutes to end his super featherweight fight on Thursday, March 30, in Bangkok, Thailand.

Khurvin Jhon “The Ipugo” Natuplag in February vowed to bounce back after failing to defend his World Boxing Organization (WBO) Oriental Featherweight title. He suffered a first-round technical knockout at the hands of China’s Wen Song Liu.

The 26-year-old Natuplag didn’t waste any of his time when he faced the 20-year-old Nakharin Hangyu of Thailand in the “Rise to Glory – Seven Championship” event at Spaceplus Bangkok.

With a stellar knockout win, the World Boxing Council (WBC) Asian featherweight title holder proved yet again his dominance inside the boxing ring. Initially scheduled for 6 rounds, the non-title fight only lasted for 2 minutes and 32 seconds after Natuplag stopped Hangyu with his powerful punches.

The Ifugao fighter improved his record to 12-4-2 with 11 knockouts, while the Thai southpaw warrior now records 4-6 with 2 knockouts.

In the same event, Pinoy pride Joepher Montano retains Asian Boxing Federation (ABF) Welterweight title via technical knockout against Iran’s Khashaiar Ghassemi. Philippines’ Herlan Gomez was also able to defend his ABF Bantamweight title while Conrado Tanamor was defeated against Chinese boxer Zhi Gang Zhang via second-round technical knockout.
