Ifugao PLGU secured two places in the nationwide Annual Governance Reform Award 2020

Lagawe, Ifugao – The Provincial Government of Ifugao on Monday, January 11,2020 received plaques of recognition from the Condition Matching Grant to Provinces (CMGP) Annual Governance Reform Award held by the Department of Interior and Local Government.

According to Ifugao PLGU report, the province was recognized as 5th place in the national ranking and 3rd place in the regional ranking in the over-all Performance Assessment on the Compliance to the 2020 CMGP fund release requirement.

In addition, the province placed 23rd in the national ranking and 3rd place in the region in the over-all performance assessment on absorptive capacity in the implementation of CMGP projects for fiscal year 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2020.

CMGP, formerly called KALSADA is a partnership program between the DILG and Department of Budget and Management (DBM) for provincial governments to partly address the poor state of provincial roads across the country, instill governance reforms and improve the competency of provinces in local road management and public financial management.

CMGP is already in its 5th year of operation.

DILG-Ifugao Provincial Director Elizabeth L. Mammag handed the 2 CMGP Annual Governance Award plaques to said PLGU represented by Governor Jerry Dalipog, Vice-Governor Glenn Prudenciano, Sangguniang Panlalawigan members and the department heads.

In a message by the governor, he commended the concerted efforts of all officials and personnel which paved way to the recognition of the province in said award.

The plaques of recognition were supposedly to be awarded in December last year during the 2020 CMGP Regional Program Implementation Review, but due to conflict of schedules of the provincial officials, it was decided to be given on a later date.
