Igorot pilot from Sagada one of casualties in Lingayen, Pangasinan Cessna plane crash

Sagada, Mt. Province – An Igorot pilot from Sagada is one of the two recent casualties of a plane crash in the country.

 

Pilot Flight Captain Nikko “Dogaong” Padawag Manogan, a native of Banga-an, Sagada was flying the Cessna 152 RP C8595, along with student-pilot Bryan Allen Ocang of San Ildefonso, Bulacan, when a tragedy happened on Sunday, March 30, 2025, in Barangay Libsong East, Lingayen, Pangasinan.

 

Initial reports by the authorities stated that the aircraft was engaged in a normal training or maintenance flight and that it was around 8:00 a.m. on said date when the plane transmitted a distress signal as it approached the runway of the Lingayen Airport for a full stop.

 

Just before they could safely land, the tragedy happened. The Cessna plane Manogan and Ocang were flying crashed at a vacant lot just outside the airport. The two were rushed to the Lingayen District Hospital, but they were declared dead.

 

As the CAAP air crash investigators investigate the cause of the incident, Cessna training aircraft flights at the Pilipinas Space and Aviation Academy Inc. are suspended.
