iKalinga Paralympian Mangliwan gets another chance for the podium if he wins the 100m T52 Race on Friday

Tabuk, Kalinga – Jerrold Mangliwan will be racing for another chance for the podium in the ongoing 2024 Paralympics in Paris tomorrow, September 6.

The iKalinga wheelchair racer first competed in the men’s 400m T52 on August 30 where he completed the lap in 1:05.79. This qualified him for the finals the following day.

However, Mangliwan who raced under the inclement weather missed the podium and finished 8th and last in the final of the men’s 400m T52.

This doesn’t end the 44-year-old’s journey in the Paralympics 2024 yet as he is set to compete in the men’s 100m T52 this Friday.

Mangliwan admitted that the 100m event is not his forte but promised to give his all in his final race in Paris 2024 to get himself to the finals.

The Paralympics 2024 will culminate on September 9 (Philippine time).
