2 Indian nationals shot in Tabuk City, now recovering

Tabuk City, Kalinga – The two foreigners who were shot in Laya West, Tabuk City over the weekend were already discharged from the hospital, local police say.


Indian nationals Harwinder Singh, 41, and Rajbir Kaur, 36, both currently residing in Laya East were rushed by the Tabuk police to the Kalinga Provincial Hospital Saturday evening, August 13, 2023.

Police investigation disclosed that the two who works as lender in the city collected debts at the riverside in Laya West on said date. However, as they head back on their motorcycle, they were fired at by still unidentified people near the barangay hall.


Collected evidence at the crime scene includes a shell of cal. 9mm and a dud bullet. Another cal 9mm bullet was extracted from one of the victims.


The perpetrators are yet to be identified and arrested.
