Injured man being transported to hospital dies in Isabela road crash

Cauayan City, Isabela - An injured individual who is in need of immediate medical attention is among two fatalities after a car struck a motorcycle in Isabela on Friday, Nov. 10.

Accordingly, Richard Matalang fell from the second floor of their house on said day, causing Jojo Taguinod, Ruth Bungcag, and Edgar Pawig to rush him to the hospital.

Using a Toyota Corolla, Taguinod, who drove the car, was then speeding down the road particularly in Barangay Tagaran, Cauayan City when he hit a Honda Click driven by Paul Glenn Bungag.

Taguinod overshoot into opposite lane of the road causing him to hit the oncoming motorcycle.

Due to the impact of the collision, Bungag was thrown and hit an electric pole near the area causing his death.

Responding authorities rushed Matalang to a hospital in the city, but the attending physician declared him dead on arrival, while Bungag and Pawig sustained injuries to different parts of their bodies.

Taguinod, meanwhile, surrendered to the police after he fled the incident area.
