International awardee for public service, Jomar Durdal, is running for councilor in Tanudan, Kalinga

Tanudan, Kalinga – Wanting to serve more his fellow iTanudans as one of the town’s legislators, this international awardee for public service is gunning for a seat in the council of Tanudan this midterm elections.  

 

Jomar Puyao Durdal, who is from Lub,o has been working in his hometown since 2019. It was in 2019 when he returned to the province and was asked by Mayor Jaedicke Rhoss Dagadag to be one of his executive assistants.


Since then, Durdal worked hard to contribute to the continuing developments in Tanudan and to bring social services to the people in his own little ways. Among the services he was able to source out and brought to Tanudan included relief packs during calamities, gift giving to kids and other vulnerable sectors, free wheelchairs, and medical assistance, among others. 

 

Then came 2023, Durdal’s silent but impactful works were recognized by awarding bodies not just at the national but also the international level.

 

Durdal was cited ‘Asia’s Most Exceptional Executive Assistant and Dedicated Public Servant of the Year’ by the Asia Pacific Luminare Awards; Most Dedicated and Exemplary Executive Assistant in the Philippines by the Gintong Parangal; and ‘Exceptional Public Servant of the Year’ by the Southeast Asian Achievement Awards

 

Durdal got these awards along with known figures in the country like Mayor Vico Sotto, Vice President Sara Duterte, Coco Martin, and Jessica Soho, among others.

 

“Ag-run tayo ta kayat tayo nga itultuloy dagiti services nga narugyan tayo ken tapnu ad-adu pay iti taga Tanudan nga matulungan tayo nu man i-allow dak dagiti kailyan tayo nga agserbi kadakuada idiay konseho,” Durdal said.
