Investigation launched into robbery incident that killed 29-yr.-old woman in Baguio City

Baguio City, Philippines – Authorities have launched an intensive probe into a robbery incident and the death of a 29-year-old woman in Baguio City.

The crime transpired on Tuesday, December 5, 2023, at a residence in Fairview, Baguio City.

Police report stated that valuables amounting to P200,000 were stolen by the killers. These include 2 cellphones, 3 watches, a wedding ring, and assorted jewelry.

Meantime, the victim, identified as Kamille Daye Biscocho, was found lifeless by his husband in their room.

The husband even saw a shoelace put around the victim’s neck, which might have been used in the killing.

Baguio police, in a statement, said the suspects inadvertently left pieces of evidence, prompting them to intensify their efforts in chasing them. They are now considering three persons of interest who might have committed the heinous crime.

The two were the ones who entered the house of the victim, while the other one served as a lookout.

Their identities are not yet known, but police are hopeful they will identify them through CCTV recovered footage.

"We are taking this matter very seriously, and our team of investigators is working round-the-clock to solve this isolated case in Baguio City and bring justice to the victim and her family,” Baguio PNP City Director PCOL Francico Bulwayan, Jr., was quoted saying.

Baguio City police further urge residents in Fairview and nearby areas to stay vigilant and cooperate with them by providing relevant information that would help in the resolution of the case.

“Every possible avenue is explored to shed light on the circumstances of the heinous crime and ensure a swift resolution. The safety and well-being of residents remain a top priority,” Baguio City police wrote.
