Isabela beauty represents Philippines in Miss Tourism Queen Worldwide 2023

Alicia, Isabela – A young beauty from Alicia, Isabela will represent the country in Miss Tourism Queen Worldwide 2023 later this year after winning the crown of Miss Tourism Philippines Worldwide 2022 during the coronation night.

Rachel Bayan from Antonino village of Alicia beat 14 competitors to win the pageant at Provincial Farmers Livelihood Development Center in Vigan City, Ilocos Sur on Friday, Dec. 30.

The search is a national competition that ‘embodies the Unifying Diverse Beauty of the Philippines and its people’ by showcasing beauty, arts and culture of the country.

Aside from her title, Bayan also grabbed Best in Long Gown and Best in Tourism Video.

The newly-crowned beauty is an alumna of Philippine Normal University North Luzon and was crowned Mutya ng Alicia Turismo 2022 in October last year.

Bayan said she wants to use her title to promote socio-tourism awareness as she believes that ‘tourism has the immense power to change the country’s economic status.’

Details of the Miss Tourism Queen Worldwide 2023 where she is expected to flaunt Philippine tourism are yet to be announced.
