Isabela crowns its new queen during Bambanti Festival

Updated: Jan 29, 2023

Isabela, Philippines – As it celebrates its rich agricultural harvest through Bambanti Festival, Isabela province crowned on Wednesday, Jan. 25, its new beauty to reign as queen this 2023.

Catherine Joy Legaspi of San Manuel beat 28 other candidates to win her title as Queen Isabela 2023 and grab P50,000 cash prize during the grand coronation night held at Queen Isabela Park. The beauty also brought home gift certificates from different sponsors.

In a statement, the newly crowned beauty queen recalled the times when failing, for her, was not an option. She used to be so focused on the woman she wanted to become. She thought she was still far from success, only to realize she has come so far and that who she is today is the person she wanted to be.

“I got so afraid of failing that I kept myself on track as possible, kept myself firm and created no room for mistakes but as I recollect, I saw that those failures are what made me this competent today and I can say that I failed many times, got disappointed with my own performance but learned from it and that is why I succeeded,” Legaspi said.

From her experience which many can relate, she advised ‘everyone who’s fighting and anxious to fail’ that it’s okay ‘but don’t let your negativity consume you, enjoy life and let things flow according to God’s divine will.’

She credited her winning to her team, supporters and her dear San Manueleños, saying “I wouldn’t make it this far without your warm support and prayers. And without the help of the people that have been very hands on all throughout, this wouldn’t be possible.”

“This crown is not only for me but for all of us! SAN MANUELEÑOS, WE WON!” she exclaimed.
