Isabela farmer shoots live-in partner in the head over love argument

Isabela, Philippines – A 30-year-old farmer in Isabela was accused of shooting his 20-year-old live-in partner during a heated argument on July 3, 2022.


Louie Desamito, a resident of Luyao, Luna, was arrested by the authorities on the same date.


The Police Regional Office 2 said Desaminto and the victim, Lyka Mae Asirit, were arguing about their relationship Sunday early evening when the suspect pulled a gun and shot his live-in partner in the head which resulted in the instantaneous death of the victim.

After receiving a phone call regarding the incident, the police rushed to the crime scene where they were able to arrest the suspect who was on board his motorcycle.


Four empty shells of Cal. 45 were recovered from the area of the incident. A case of murder is now being prepared against the suspect.
