Santiago City, Isabela – A person with disability (PWD) died after a fire razed a house made of light materials in Ilagan City, Isabela, at 6 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 07.

His charred remains were only discovered when the fire was extinguished.

The victim was a 33-year-old man and a resident of Purok 7, Bliss, Ilagan City. The owner of the house, meantime, is a certain Marites Pineda.

In an interview with XFM Santiago, the victim’s neighbor relayed that the victim's parents were out of the house when the incident transpired since they were at the hospital.

She added that only the victim and his 14-year-old sibling were at the house at that time.
