Islay Bomogao records 2 wins – 0 loss in ONE championship after defeating China

Bangkok, Thailand – Igorota World Muay Thai champion has another win added to her list after recently defeating China in her recent ONE Championship appearance.

 

ONE Championship being held by the world’s largest martial arts organization is a combat sports promotion on mixed martial arts, kickboxing, and Muay Thai.

 

Islay Erika Bomogao, who was named by the International Federation of Muaythai Associations the no. 1 in the 45kg female elite category in 2024,made her debut at ONE Championship in November last year.

 

Bomogao, in spite of being a newbie in the said fight in 2024, won over her Japanese foe, marking her first-ever win in the promotion.

 

On January 10, 2025, the 24-year-old once again appeared in the ONE Championship held at the famous Lumpinee Stadium in Thailand. The Igorota faced China’s Ran Longshu in the 101-pound catchweight Muay Thai bout.

 

Through unanimous decision, Bomogao did not disappoint the Filipino people as she beat Longshu to deliver her second win in the competition.

 

Bomogao is the first homegrown Filipina in ONE Championship’s Muay Thai division.
