iTanudan para archer Bantiloc lost to World No.3 Brazil para archer in Paralympics 2024

Tabuk City, Kalinga – iKalinga para athlete Agustina Bantiloc wrapped up her Paralympics journey after losing to Brazil on Friday, August 30 (Philippine Time).

 

Bantiloc of Tanudan is one of the ‘Philippine Sensational Six’ representing the country in the ongoing Paralympics in Paris. She is likewise one of the country’s flag bearers during the opening ceremony on August 29(PH time).

 

The 55-year-old athlete first played in the ranking round of the women’s individual compound open event on August 29. She ranked 28th after registering a season-best 618 points.

 

The following day, Bantiloc played against world no. 3 Jane Karla Gogel of Brazil in the 1/16 elimination round of the women’s individual compound open.

 

The iKalinga fell short of her opponent, marking her exit in the 2024 Paralympics.

 

Bantiloc is the first Filipino para archer to compete in the Paralympics.
