KADIWA truck driver involved in Dec. 8 Isabela-road crash dies in hospital

Ramon, Isabela – The driver of the KADIWA truck who was involved in a multiple vehicle collision that transpired along the national highway in Barangay Bugallon Proper, Ramon, Isabela on Thursday, December 8, died while being treated in a hospital.


Tommy Timoteo is the third casualty of the tragic vehicular accident involving the Foton closed-wing van he was driving, a trailer truck, and a sub-compact vehicle.


He was declared dead at the Southern Isabela Medical Center in Santiago City.


His passengers Addison Kyle La-ao, a staff of the Department of Agriculture-Cordillera, and Karen Briones who used to be a farmer-partner of the agency also died in the accident.

The three victims are all residents of Itogon, Benguet.


As recalled, the three came from Tabuk City, Kalinga for a KADIWA event and were about to go back to Baguio City but while traversing the said road the sub-compact vehicle driven by Allan Mark Barroza from Bugallon Norte, Ramon crashed into their vehicle.


As a result of the impact, the closed-wing van they were on board collided with the trailer truck driven by Mark Andy Bago of Bantay, Solana, Cagayan.


The victims were ferried to Southern Isabela Medical Center in Santiago City where La-ao and Briones died.


The driver of the sub-compact vehicle that hit the van fled the scene but was later captured by the police.
