KAELCO on lockdown, employee with reactive antigen test awaits RT-PCR result

Tabuk City, Kalinga―The Kalinga-Apayao Electric Cooperative, Inc. (KAELCO) main office has been put on temporary lockdown after an employee got a reactive rapid antigen result.


Said temporary lockdown started 3 PM today, March 25, until March 26.


In a phone interview with KAELCO ISD Manager Clifford Alunday, he said that the employee exhibited symptoms so he was subjected for a rapid antigen test which yielded a positive result. The employee was tested for RT-PCR yesterday, March 24.

Reports from KAELCO also disclosed that some employees are having colds and diarrhea. Hence, face-to-face transactions has been suspended to give time for the disinfection of the office premises.


As of now, all contacts of the said employee are under strict home quarantine while waiting for the for the RT-PCR swab result.



Alunday then advised clients to pay their bills to the collecting agents in Barangay Bulanao and Barangay Dagupan Centro for the meantime, while those with transactions in the main office may have to wait until Monday, March 29.


“Itatta ket awan ditoy main office inggana nu bigat, temporary pay lang a suspended ngem adda met dagiti kuna mi a collecting agents, adda dita Bulanao ken Dagupan a mabalin da pagbayadan,” he said.


“Dagiyay agi-follow up iti metro, wenno ag-apply ti new applications ken dadduma pay a transactions nga iyumayan da ditoy office hopefully by Monday na,” he added.
