Kalinga 2022 registered voters now 154,423 - up by 12.18% from 2019


Tabuk City, Kalinga – A total of 154,423 yKalingas are ready to vote for the upcoming 2022 local and national elections. This is 12.18% higher compared to the 2019 number of registered voters.


Based on the data released by the Commission on Election Kalinga, there were at least 137, 658 registered voters in 2019.


Of the 154,423 voters for 2022, 70,281 have registered in Tabuk City; 21,254 in Pinukpuk; 13,919 in Rizal; 11,411 in Tinglayan; 10,400 in Tanudan; 10, 344 in Lubuagan; 9,602 in Balbalan; and 7,212 in Pasil.



Kalinga Provincial Election Supervisor, Atty. Dexter Barry Cawis said that this is final and that it will be subjected to an automated fingerprint identification system.


Meantime, there are a total of 1,077,900 registered voters who are ready to vote in the entire Cordillera for the 2022 election. Of this number, Benguet has the largest number of voters with 243,756, followed by the Province of Abra with 182, 696 and the City of Baguio with 168, 218.


Also, there are 6,926 established precincts in the region.


The next national and local elections will be held on May 9, 2022.
