Kalinga Bodong Festival 2025 to feature first ever 21K half-marathon

Tabuk City, Kalinga - New exciting activities await iKalingas as the provincial government will hold its first-ever 21K (kilometers) half-marathon as part of the upcoming celebration of the 6th Bodong Festival.

Scheduled to begin from February 10-16, 2025, the Bodong Festival, a cultural revelry of the Kalinga people, will host various activities and competitions. To add to the thrill, the PLGU added the 21K Half-Marathon. The marathon will take place on February 15.

The Kalinga PIO says everyone is encouraged to join the marathon, whether one is a runner or a fitness enthusiast. The 21K half-marathon is designed for those wanting to test endurance and push the limits for personal milestone achievement.

Apart from the 21K half-marathon, there are two other categories others can choose from - the 10K fun run and the 3K family run.

The 10K fun run is ideal for people who want to appreciate the scenic beauty of Kalinga while running in the festive spirit of a non-competitive race. The 3K family run, on the other hand, is another fun event that even the whole family can join to have fun bonding moments together.

Under the 3K family run, children of age 12 years and below are welcome as long as they are accompanied by their parents or guardians.

Apart from the excitement, several benefits await registrants for the race, such as a high-quality race shirt, a commemorative finisher medal, and a delicious meal to recharge after the run.

To register, just scan the QR code posted on the province's Facebook page (Province of Kalinga) and get a slot before it runs out.
