Kalinga Capitol Plaza Park shines brighter with added solar powered Christmas lights


Tabuk City, Kalinga – The Kalinga Capitol Plaza Park's Christmas lights will be added with additional solar lights to light up the whole park.

 

The said lights are to be permanently installed which means the park will shine every night all year round.

 

Kalinga Governor James Edduba mentioned this during the province's Christmas Lighting Ceremony on December 6, 2023, at Capitol Plaza Park, where he thanked everyone for supporting the event before hundreds of attendees.

 

“To our other visitors here and kadagitoy kakailyan tayo nga taga Kalinga, tapno witnessan tayo dytoy ceremonial lighting ti Christmas light tayo ditoy capitol, thank you iti addaan yuk et haan py nga kumpleto actually daytoy ta adda pay nu next week dagidiay dadduma nga silaw na,” he said.

 

Governor Edduba mentioned that the permanent lights, solar-powered, are “imported” and expressed hope that the lights will be enjoyed by the yKalingas, especially those who use the park for their nighttime activities.

 

“Ditoy gamin lang capitol ti ammo mi nga nalawa nga mabalin kuma nga umay kayo nga pamilya ti taga Kalinga nga umay ti rabii nu awan ti tudo, ditoy kayo nga safe ta kumpleto met ti security guard ditoy probinsiya ket we would like you to take advantage of that tapnu ditoy kuma ket ag-bonding dagiti pamilya tayo,” he said.

 

Edduba expressed gratitude to all who supported the initiative and made it possible, extending his gratitude to the yKalingas for their continued support then wished everyone a joyous Christmas.

 

“Kadakayu nga kakailyan nga taga Kalinga, awan daytoy nu awan iti supporta yu kadakami nga leaders yu tatta. Thank you very much.  Merry Christmas everyone,” he concluded.
