Kalinga cop from Tanudan takes official post as Baguio City Police Director


Baguio City, Benguet – Following his two-month service as Acting Director, Police Colonel Francisco Bulwayan Jr. from Tanudan, Kalinga is now the full-fledged director of the Baguio City Police Office.


Baguio City Police Office said the promotion of Bulwayan based on the placement board was approved by the Philippine National Police National Headquarters with the endorsement of Mayor Benjamin Magalong and a recommendation from the Police Regional Office – Cordillera.

His promotion, according to the office, took effect on December 5, 2022.


Bulwayan, who succeeded Police Colonel Glenn D. Lonogan, assumed the post as the acting director through a ceremonial turn-over of command held at the BCPO Multi-Purpose Hall, Baguio City on October 5, 2022.


The new top cop of Baguio City is a proud member of the Philippine National Police Academy “TANGLAW-LAHI” class of 1999.


Before getting the post, he was the former Chief of the Regional Personnel and Records Management Division (RPRMD).


He also once served as the director of the Tabuk City Police Station in 2019 before serving at the regional level in various capacities.
