Kalinga DRRM provides additional aid to 5 families affected by fire in Bulanao, Tabuk City

Tabuk City, Kalinga – The 5 families whose houses were recently burned in Purok 5, Bulanao received assistance anew, this time from Kalinga Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office, headed by Jolanta Baac.


The assistance was given this September 17, 2021, to help the families recover from their losses.


According to PDRRM Staff on Duty, Chariz Dayag, each of the 5 families received 10kilos of rice and sealed family packs containing essential kits.


Dayag explained that the assistance provided was from DRRMC-CAR as stock supplies to aid victims in times of disaster.

As recalled, the same family victims were given sleeping kits, 25 kilograms of rice, hygiene kits, family food packs, and kitchen kits by the Department of Social Welfare and Development-Cordillera and the Kalinga Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office on September 9, 2021.


DSWD-CAR also gave P10,000 each to the three households.


Families to receive bigger blessings


Dayag, in her message to the families, encouraged them to stay strong, saying that there is a reason behind their experience and God has bigger plans for them.

“Isunga naaramid diay ket adda ladta ti plano ni God kinyada nga dadakkel, dagituy mangmangyari ket adda ti kasukat na nga dakdakkel tu,” the PDRRM staff on duty stated.


The office, through their Facebook post, thanked the Lord “for all the blessings you gave so we can share to those in need.”


The victims are currently living with their relatives aside from the Bulaay family who remain at their house since only the part of the second storey was totally burned.
