Kalinga earns 5 distinct honors in PRDP evaluation

Tabuk City, Kalinga – Governor James Edduba's leadership at the helm of the Kalinga Provincial Project Management and Implementation Unit (PPMIU) proved expertise as it secured five esteemed awards during the recent evaluation conducted by the Philippine Rural Development Project, Regional Project Coordination Office, Project Support Office (PRDP RPCO PSO).

 

Held in Pugo, La Union, the event commemorated achievements across various spheres, spotlighting Kalinga province's contributions to developing and executing PRDP programs with excellence.

 

The prestigious awards presented to Kalinga PLGU, according to the Provincial Information Services, are:

 

Recognition for Dedicated Collaboration

 

Kalinga earned acclaim for its unwavering collaboration with PRDP I-Plan in updating the PLGU Tracking System. This recognition, the office said, underscores the province's commitment to fostering effective partnerships and leveraging technology for efficient project management.

 

Efficiency in Replacement Plan Execution

 

Acknowledgment was granted to Kalinga as the most efficient local government unit in executing the Replacement Plan, showcasing the province's effectiveness in implementing plans and ensuring seamless project transitions.

 

Consistency in Governance and Geo-Mapping Adherence

 

The province was likewise lauded for consistently adhering to governance and geo-mapping standards at the highest level. This recognition emphasizes the provincial government's dedication to maintaining high-quality standards in project implementation and governance practices.


Efficient Subproject Implementation and Financial Disbursement

 

The provincial government's efficiency in Subproject Implementation and Financial Disbursement solidified its stature as a frontrunner in effective project execution and financial management within the PRDP framework.

 

Successful Integration of Climate Risk and Vulnerability Assessment Data

 

Recognition was also granted for the PLGU’s effective incorporation of Climate Risk and Vulnerability Assessment Data into the Provincial Commodity Investment Plan (PCIP). The award features the province's proactive approach to addressing climate-related challenges and integrating resilience into project planning.

 

The attainment of these awards by Kalinga PPMIU is also a reflection of the great collaboration among the provincial government and the communities.
