Kalinga governor cited as ‘Person of Sincere Anti-Corruption Integrity’

Tabuk City, Kalinga – Provincial Governor James Edduba was honored as a ‘Person of Sincere Anti-Corruption Integrity’ by a South Korean anti-corruption organization for his unwavering commitment to his anti-corruption campaign.

The recognition was bestowed by the Anti-Corruption Civil Movement General Federation (ACCMGF), a member of the Union International Associations (UIA).


Said organization is authorized by Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission, with 300 Associations acting in politics, public affairs, education, religion, media, national defense, social welfare, economics, public organization and non-government organization.


With said recognition, Governor James Edduba received on Monday, September 4, a World Integrity Prize from ACCMGF.


The award was presented by Dr. Johnny Shin, a representative of the Anti-corruption and Civil Rights Commission.


In a statement, the provincial government of Kalinga said the distinction is ‘in recognition of Edduba’s exceptional dedication to promoting ethical governance and accountability.’

They noted that Edduba has demonstrated his unwavering commitment to transparency, integrity as well as his advocacy for anti-corruption, since serving as the local chief executive of Pasil to becoming the vice-governor of Kalinga and later serving as the province's governor; thus, the prize.


“This recognition serves as a testament to Governor Edduba's unwavering commitment to fostering a culture of transparency, accountability, and integrity within the Kalinga Province,” the provincial government stated.
