Kalinga LGU congratulates 6 PNPA graduates from province


Tabuk City, Kalinga – The Kalinga government congratulated six cadets from the province who graduated from the premier law enforcement academy of the country.


After hurdling the four-year cadetship training program, the six members of the Philippine National Police Academy (PNPA) MASIDTALAK (Maaasahang Tagapagsilbi ng Inang Bayan na may Dangal at Katapatan na ang Layunin ay Kapayapaan) Class of 2023 graduated on Friday, March 10 at Camp General Mariano Castañeda in Silang, Cavite.


The new Lieutenants and Inspectors of the Tri-Bureau service from Kalinga province include Ashley Nick Pagtan Edduba from Tinglayan/Tabuk City; Eriq Ambong Omawis from Tabuk City; Tekson Yu-ing Liddawa from Tanudan/Tinglayan; Stephen Dangangao Palicas from Tanudan; and Jeneva Rose Domatog Bucalen and Job Basungit Angli from Tinglayan. Bucalen was recognized as Dean’s and Commandant’s Lister.

Extending his felicitations in person, Governor James Edduba took time to attend the 44th PNP Academy’s commencement exercises.


As new officers, the graduates were urged to be impartial in fulfilling their duties and responsibilities, and that they live up to the name of their class.


Other PNPA graduates from Cordillera


Aside from the six from Kalinga, seven from Mt. Province, six from Benguet, three from Baguio City, three from Ifugao, two from Abra, and one from Apayao also graduated from PNPA.


Graduates from Mt. Province are Justin Paul Ducay (Bauko), Kyle Lumiwes (Bontoc), Edgar Lagget, Jr. (Paracelis), Ulysses Loy-od (Sabangan), Andrei Juhne Guimte (Sabangan), Keith Bolinget (Sagada), and Mark Dominick Astudillo (Tadian).

Norman Asing Luis from Kapangan, Benguet was conferred the NAPOLCOM Kampilan Award for having demonstrated superior qualities in major responsibilities as class president. Also from the province are Revy Dean Basalan (Buguias), Calvin Mondero (La Trinidad), Prinzel Donguis (Mankayan), Jounard Alapang (Sablan), and Javier Asiong (Tublay).


Hailing from the Summer Capital of the Philippines are Maverick Allan Canlas, Haison Piggangay, and Seal Bantag.


Yuri Limbawan and Jeric Balallo from Banaue, along with Brett Dales Maslang from Lagawe, Ifugao likewise graduated.


Abra pride Kenneth Jay Tul-ing (Luba) and Junalyn Ordoñez (Bangued), as well as Adrian Tapiru from Kabugao, Apayao are also among the 208 members of MASIDTALAK Class of 2023.
