Kalinga LGU under Tubban administration gets several national and regional awards

Tabuk City, Kalinga – The provincial government of Kalinga, under Tubban administration, bagged three national and seven regional awards and recognition since the outgoing governor took office in 2019 up to date.


Information Officer IV Dionica Alyssa Legasi cited the various awards during the radio program of the Office of Governor Ferdinand Tubban aired on Tuesday, May 31, 2022.


Out of the 18 provinces in the country, the Province of Kalinga ranked 2nd on the Overall Performance for Absorptive Capacity of Conditional Matching Grant to Provinces (CMGP) Program.


Also, Kalinga was recognized as 4th in the National Ranking of the CMGP’s Annual Governance Reform in 2020 and placed 5th in the National Ranking for the Overall Performance Assessment of the same program in 2020.


Regional Awards


Meanwhile, the province was First in the regional ranking for CMGP and ranked 3rd in the Overall Performance Assessment in 2020 at said level.


Further, Kalinga got an award for being the Best LGU Partner under the Small Scale Category 2020 - Dry Season.


Tubban, on his social media post, said the awards were attained by the province through the cooperation of the public.

Daytoy CMGP,para improvement ti provincial roads tayo ket mangited da ti incentives kadagiti probinsiya nga nangipakita ti good performance iti implementasyon. Ituloy tayo koma nga suportaran daytoy shared governance tayo. God bless Kalinga! More development to come!” expressed the governor.


Other recognitions conferred to Kalinga


A Plaque of Merit for the support to programs of the Development of Persons Deprived of Liberty Transformation was also conferred to the province.


Kalinga is likewise hailed as the Top Performing Province for the Implementation of Anti-Measles, Rubella, and Oral Polio in 2020.


Moreover, the province achieved Regional Award for achieving a matured level of Provincial Committee on Anti-Trafficking and Violence Against Women and Children (PCAT-VAWC) Functionality Education.
