Kalinga local singer dies from road crash injuries

Tabuk City, Kalinga – Locals in Kalinga are mourning the death of an yKalinga artist who succumbed to road accident injuries on Thursday, Sept. 14, 2023.

Jason ‘Jhay’ Blaza, 42, a band vocalist passed away around 3:00 a.m. at the Cagayan Valley Medical Center(CVMC).

The ‘Eskwelaan’ singer met a road accident along the National Highway in Bulanao around 10:10 p.m. on Sept. 10.

As reported by the Tabuk City police, Blaza came from Block 3 and was riding his motorcycle heading in the direction of white carabao when his motorcycle crashed at the Rotonda Circle. This left him with a head injury, multiple lacerations on his face, and abrasions on his knee.

He was rushed to the Kalinga Provincial Hospital but was later referred to CVMC where he succumbed to his injuries four days after the incident.

Blaza who was a native of Pasil, Kalinga but resided in Tabuk City is survived by his four children.
