Kalinga MSMEs generate P.2M sales at a MedTech conference

Tabuk City, Kalinga – Eleven Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises in Kalinga generated a total sale of P251,525 during the 16th PAMET (Philippine Association of Medical Technologists) Northern Luzon Regional Conference held on August 19-20 at the Davidson Hotel, Tabuk City.

The Department of Trade and Industry-Kalinga disclosed said figure in a press release Tuesday, August 22.

Of the total sales, the agency revealed P234,025 was the fair’s cash sale, while booked sales amounted to P17,500.

The trade fair, organized by DTI-Kalinga, served as one of the highlights of the regional event held in the province.

In a statement, PAMET Kalinga-Apayao Chapter President Johnwin Meniano highlighted that the sum of the sales made over the two-day conference reflects how successful the event was, thus conveying his gratitude to the 11 MSMEs who served as exhibitors.

He likewise applauded the efforts of DTI-Kalinga for spearheading the trade fair and Ferdinand Nonog, one of their group’s officers in Kalinga, for his assistance.

“Kudos to DTI-Kalinga, Sir Ferdinand Nonog, our Chapter PRO, for their efforts and dedication in assisting our chapter and the MSMEs before, during, and after the conference. We earnestly believe that we have left an indelible mark on all the MSMEs who graced our event,” Meniano said.

The exhibitors, for their part, expressed gratitude to the group and DTI-Kalinga for the opportunity and for allowing them to showcase Kalinga products to the event’s participants.

The exhibitors likewise expressed hope that more organizers and hotel owners would include mini trade fairs in their future events, considering the success of the event.

Meanwhile, DTI Kalinga underscored the event ‘with its mini trade fair, which not only strengthened partnerships between the local chapter and MSMEs but also highlighted the potential for economic growth and collaboration in the Kalinga region.’
