Kalinga Pasalubong Center opens this June 25

Tabuk City, Kalinga – When visiting Kalinga province, local and foreign visitors wanting to bring home ‘pasalubong’ can now stop by the Kalinga Pasalubong Center at the welcome arc in Talaca, Malalao, Tabuk City, Kalinga.

The pasalubong center boasting Kalinga’s indigenous products- from food items to hand-crafted items will have its grand opening Tuesday, June 25.

The event serves as a means to announce that the center shall have its full operation as a hub for agri-tourism trade activities.

The grand opening event shall start at 3 p.m., according to an announcement from the Department of Trade and Industry – Kalinga.

“Join us as we celebrate the vibrant culture and flavors of the Province of Kalinga. Whether you're looking for the perfect gift or a taste of home, Kalinga Pasalubong Center has something special for everyone,” DTI Kalinga wrote.

To recall, the solar-powered building was inaugurated February 9 this year. It started its initial operation since then.

Just last month, additional materials necessary for its operation have been installed, like retail display cabinets, countertop or check-out counter stands, clothing, bag holders, and apparel display racks.

The aims to serve visitors while showcasing and marketing various yKalinga locally-grown and manufactured products.

Through the center, livelihood opportunities are expected to increase, aiding in enhancing the province’s economic condition.
