Kalinga PLGU conducts Vaccination Days III on Feb. 10-11, invites public to join

Tabuk City, Kalinga – The Provincial Government Unit of Kalinga invites the community to participate in the National COVID-19 Vaccination Days Part III (Bayanihan, Bakunahan) that will run from February 10 to 11.

The vaccination will start after a short ceremony graced by the Regional Director of the Department of Health’s Center for Health Development - Cordillera, Rio Magpantay; Governor Ferdinand Tubban; and Provincial Health Officer Dr. Edward Tandingan.

According to the Provincial Health Office, the vaccination will be held at the Capitol Park and identified inoculation sites in the municipalities and the city.

All vaccine brands for 12 years old and above will be made available for the mass vaccination drive.

Governor Tubban and Tandingan reiterated the call for those who are not yet vaccinated to get the jab for their protection against the severe impact of the virus.

Those who are fully vaccinated and are qualified for booster shots are likewise encouraged to go and receive their additional dose.

The province targets to inoculate a total of 10,521 individuals. 2,979 of which are targeted for primary dose series and 7,542 of which are for booster shots.

The third round of the mass vaccination campaign aims to increase vaccine confidence and help the province achieve its inoculation target to reach herd immunity.
