Kalinga PLGU honors Municipality of Rizal for highest vaccination rate

Tabuk City, Kalinga – The provincial government of Kalinga under the leadership of Governor Ferdinand Tubban gave recognition to the local government unit of Rizal for achieving the highest full COVID-19 vaccination coverage.

Kalinga, along with its LGUs, has strengthened coordination and partnership for its vaccination campaign to protect the community from suffering the effects of the dreaded virus.

Provincial Health Officer Dr. Edward Tandingan handed over the certificate of recognition to Rizal LGU during the simple celebration of the 27th Kalinga Founding Anniversary this February 14, 2022, held at the Kalinga Astrodome.

As of February 11, Rizal fully inoculated 88.94% or 15, 875 individuals out of its 17, 850 population which greatly contributed to the counts of COVID-19 vaccination drive of the province.

Meanwhile, the Municipality of Balbalan attained 61.82% full vaccination coverage, Pinukpuk with 59.08%, Tabuk City with 58.92%, Pasil with 52.35%, Lubuagan with 46.21%, Tinglayan with 48.84%, and Tanudan with 44.48%.

Kalinga has a total of 52.20% Covid-19 jab coverage.
