Kalinga PLGU recognized for unwavering support to cooperatives in 2023 CDA Gawad Parangal

Tabuk City, Kalinga – The Kalinga Provincial Local Government Unit’s continuous support to cooperatives was recognized in this year’s Cooperative Development Authority(CDA) Gawad Parangal held recently in Quezon City.


CDA Gawad Parangal is held annually to acknowledge best practices, programs, and good governance of the cooperatives and their partners in the country.

Among these year’s honorees is the Kalinga PLGU headed by Governor James Edduba. The provincial LGU likewise is one of the only two local governments recognized from the Cordillera region.


The province was cited for its ‘unwavering commitment and support to cooperatives by championing numerous programs like Financial Support and Livelihood Assistance, Trainings and most importantly appointing a Cooperative Development Officer’.


CDA likewise thanked the provincial government for its exemplary efforts in advancing the cooperative movement and fostering socio-economic progress.


Provincial Cooperative and Enterprise Development Officer Arlene Oyando received the province’s certificate of recognition on Oct. 13, 2023, at the Philippine International Convention Center.
