What not to miss in Kalinga Bodong Funfair?


Tabuk City, Kalinga – Join in the revelry, indulge in thrilling rides, capture the magical moments, and immerse yourself in Kalinga’s rich cultural tapestry with the Bodong Funfair!

 

The carnival at Kalinga Sports Complex, officially opened on Monday, January 29, was organized through the initiative of the Provincial Local Government Unit led by Governor James Edduba in an effort to infuse joy and festivity into the heart of Kalinga.

 

The funfair, along with the Bodong Bazaar and Bodong Food Hub, marks the commencement of the celebrations for the 29th Kalinga Founding Anniversary and the 5th Bodong Festival this February.


The Kalinga Sports Complex has been transformed into a wonderland of excitement and laughter. Among the attractions that promise to leave visitors breathless are the Fun Slide, Dino Ride, Horror Train, Super Bee Ride, Ferris Wheel, Amores Ride, Frisbee Ride, Viking, One Piece-themed Ride, Kalesa Ride, and UFO ride. These exhilarating experiences cater to the diverse tastes of attendees, ensuring there is something for everyone.

 

Adding a touch of culture to the festivities, the Funfair showcases the rich heritage of Kalinga through an Instagrammable backdrop featuring the portrait of the legendary Apo Whang-od, the renowned traditional tattoo artist. This cultural nod serves as a reminder of Kalinga's deep roots and storied history, creating a harmonious blend of modern entertainment and traditional artistry.

 

The celebration is set to continue throughout February, promising a month filled with joy, excitement, and the warmth of shared experiences.
