Kalinga Police foils transport of over P17M marijuana in Lubuagan

Lubuagan, Kalinga – Lubuagan police arrested two men from Metro Manila after allegedly transporting several marijuana bricks and tubular marijuana around 11 PM of September 24.


Arrested suspects who are both residents of Caloocan include a 24-year-old student and a 44-year-old man who served as the driver.

In a report, the police disclosed they were notified about two men on board a red Mitsubishi Adventure bearing a plate number of ABF 4352 transporting suspected marijuana that came from Tinglayan.


This prompted the police to establish a checkpoint at Sitio Chilakan, Dangoy, Lubuagan resulting in the arrest of the two suspects.


Confiscated from the suspects are 138 pieces of marijuana bricks weighing 138,000 grams and 6 pieces of tubular marijuana weighing 6,000 grams. These amount to P17,280,000.

Also seized from the suspects are 2 android phones, a key and the vehicle used in transporting the contraband.


The suspects along with the confiscated evidence were later brought to Lubuagan Municipal Police Station for the filing of appropriate charges.


The evidence shall be brought to the Kalinga Crime Laboratory Office for examination.
