Tabuk City, Kalinga – As the province starts to glow this Yuletide Season, the Kalinga police opened its newly lit and decorated camp for the public to have an additional place to visit with their family and loved ones this Christmas.

The Kalinga Police Provincial Office (KPPO) officially opened Camp Captain Juan M Duyan in Bulanao to visitors during the ceremonial lighting of Christmas trees and lanterns on December 1, 2022.

All throughout the season, the camp will be accepting guests from 5:30 PM to 10:00 PM, the time when they light up the trees and lanterns.

In an interview with Police Captain Ruff Manganip, KPPO Information Officer, he conveyed that adorning trees inside the camp during the Christmas season was adopted as a tradition by the Kalinga police last year through the ‘Adopt a Tree’ program.

He explained that the program allows the different police units in Kalinga to bring out their creativity as they decorate their tree with recycled materials and make them glimmer. He added that the personnel use their personal resources to bring out even more of the Yuletide spirit inside the barracks.

Manganip further said that opening the camp’s Christmas decorations for public viewing is one of the ways the police make the people feel they are always welcome at KPPO.

Meantime, those who will be coming to the camp will have to leave their vehicles outside the barracks. Manganip said that visitors have nothing to worry about since there are personnel assigned to secure them.

The Christmas decoration at Camp Captain Juan M Duyan will be up until January next year
