Kalinga Provincial Government officially welcomes 4 new local court judges


Tabuk City, Kalinga – The Provincial Local Government of Kalinga officially welcomed the four newly installed local court judges in the province on April 3.


These judges are Hon. Marveluna Parañal, Hon. Tshaine Taguinod-Maggay, Hon. Romelyn Gayagay-Alinao, and Hon. Carlo Oscar Boacon. They are among the 51 judges recently appointed by President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.

Hon. Parañal who hailed from Luna, Apayao is the new in charge of the Municipal Trial Court Lubuagan while Hon. Maggay who is from Cagayan is the new presiding judge of the Municipal Trial Court in Cities, Tabuk City.


Hon. Alinao and Hon. Boacon who are both from Kalinga are the in charge of the 1st Municipal Circuit Trial Court(MCTC) Tinglayan – Tanudan, Kalinga and MCTC Balbalan – Pasil, Kalinga respectively.


These new judges together with Atty. Brenda Bummosao – Taberdo, new Assistant City Prosecutor were presented during the inter-agency flag raising ceremony on Monday.


Through the Kalinga Provincial Information Office, Governor James Edduba conveyed that these new judges are persons of integrity and that they will use their experience to further enhance the justice system in the province.


“Isuda iti dakkel nga nam-nama iti kakailyan tayo nga mas sumayaat pay iti addaan nga justice system tayo ditoy Kalinga. They are experienced, honed, and each is a person of integrity,” he was quoted saying.
