Kalinga Sports Festival to take place in Tabuk City; competitions to be on Jan. 22 – 25

Tabuk City, Kalinga – A new batch of student-athletes across Kalinga is set to convene and compete against each other on the fourth week of January this year to select the best of the best and represent the delegation to the CARAA 2025.

Dr. Silverio Tawatao, the School Governance and Operations Division – Education Program Supervisor of DepEd Kalinga, presented during the Kapehan sa Kapitolyo on January 6 that the proposed date for this year’s Provincial Athletic Meet is on January 22 – 25.

He added that the 2025 Kalinga Sports Festival is set to be participated by a total of 2,371 students and their coaches from the different municipalities in Kalinga.

These thousands of participants will be playing for medals at the Kalinga Sports Complex, Kalinga State University, Capitol, and other available places in Tabuk City.

The different delegations, meantime, will be housed in Cawagayan National High School(NHS), Cawagayan Elementary School(ES), Mapaco ES, Camalog ES, Sucbot NHS, Sucbot ES, Pagugo ES, and Rizal National School of Arts and Trades.

Last year’s overall champion was the Municipality of Rizal with 80 gold medals. Coming second was Pinukpuk with 67 gold, then Tanudan with 49.
