Kalinga State University embarks on search for new president

Tabuk City, Kalinga – The lone state university in Kalinga is now looking for a new president who will be leading the institution for the next four years.

 

The call for applications was formally opened and announced by the KSU Board of Regents through the university’s official Facebook page on May 7.

 

The minimum qualifications for applicants include being a 35 to 61-year-old Filipino citizen; holder of doctorate degree from CHED-recognized higher education institution (HEI) or accredited foreign institution; and proven track record as SUC/LUC administrator like president, vice president, dean, campus administrator, and director for at least five years.


If the applicant is from SUCs with multi-campuses, he or she must be serving or has served the whole university as Director for Administration, Finance, Instruction or Academics, Research, Extension, Resource Management and Planning; if from other line government agencies, at least SG 24; from private non-academic institution, head of institution or organization; and if from private HEI, the applicant is required with the same qualification as that of SUC in terms of positions held.

 

The aspirant must as well have never been convicted for a crime involving moral turpitude, or an offense punishable by imprisonment more than 6 years, or have never been suspended administratively for 12 months, or dismissed from the service.

 

Submission of applications is until 5:00 p.m. of June 14, 2024.

 

The applicant who will be chosen will be replacing Dr. Eduardo Bagtang.
