Kalinga targets 70% full vaccination by end of November 2021



Tabuk City, Kalinga – Kalinga targets a 70% full COVID-19 vaccination for the 221,563 projected total population by end of November 2021.


According to the Provincial Health Office, 22.01% or 34,137 of the total population are fully vaccinated as of September 26, 2021, which means that the province needs to inoculate 120,957 more to achieve the 70% full vaccination.


The office targets around 2,688 daily number of vaccination by the local governments units.


By the end of November, 64,630 are to be fully vaccinated in Tabuk City, 18,498 in Pinukpuk, 8,477 in Rizal, 7,857 in Tinglayan, 6,264 in Balbalan, 5,776 in Tanudan, 4,932 in Pasil, and 4,524 in Lubuagan.


Meanwhile, a total of 1,560 Pfizer vials, equivalent to 9,360 doses has been delivered by Nonpareil to the PHO today, October 4, 2021.

The doses, according to the office, will be allotted for the first doses to Tabuk City, Pinukpuk, and Rizal for three days.


The health office encouraged the public to participate in the vaccination drive to have themselves protected from the dreaded virus.


The office likewise reiterated the strict compliance of minimum health protocols, such as wearing face masks and face shields, regular handwashing, and practicing social distancing so as to avoid the virus from spreading.
