Tanudan, Kalinga – Even after the Yuletide season, kids from far-flung areas in Tanudan continue to get free toys from Mayor Jaedicke Rhoss Dagadag and from a fast food chain.

Executive Assistant Jomar Durdal relayed that the restaurant chain granted the municipality some 3,000 toys at the request of Mayor Dagadag who wanted to bring joy to the kids in far-flung areas with limited access to toys.

Elementary learners in Dacalan, Taloctoc, Gaang, and Lubo were the first ones to receive their presents on December 25, 2022, during their Christmas program.

On January 6 and 12, 2023, the team proceeded to Sitio Allubagan, Darulog, Gumbowoy, Cabugao, and Liyang in Pangol. Durdal added they will be visiting the kids in Mangali next week to give the same gifts.

Mayor Dagadag, in his statement, conveyed nothing is more beautiful than seeing the kids smile and hearing their giggles and excitement as they play around and unwrap a new toy.

“Ammu tayo met ti makuna nga children uphold the brighter future. For me, it is my happiness to see children's happiness too. Nu makitkitak iti kinasam-it dagiti isem ti ubbing ket makitkitak met nu kasanu ti kinapintas ti biyag nga inpaay ni Apo Kabunyan ditoy lubong,” he expressed.
