KILLED IN Baguio GANGFIGHT: 18-yr.-old student dies after he was hit by "metal knuckle"

Baguio City, Philippines - An alleged fight between two members of two groups in Baguio City during the early hours of Tuesday, February 18, 2025, led to a teenager's untimely demise.

 

The victim, an 18-year-old student and resident of Happy Hallow, Baguio City, passed away after he was hit by a sharp object. The individual responsible for the crime was a 20-year-old male. According to a witness, the victim was the one who attacked first. 

      

According to police reports obtained by the DZWT 540 AM - Radyo Totoo, the witness narrated that the victim and his companions exited a bar on Upper Mabini Street, Barangay Kabayanihan at around 12:00 am on that day. 

 

Outside the drinking establishment, the victim's group encountered another group of men, to which the suspect is affiliated. For unknown reasons, the latter allegedly punched one of the suspect's buddies.

 

After that, he punched the suspect next, who fought back using a "metal knuckle" having a pointed part with a sharpness of 22 centimeters, as stated in the report.

 

The victim, whose identity was withheld by the police, sustained severe stab wounds due to the suspect’s attack. He was rushed to a nearby hospital by the responding medical team, who immediately proceeded to the area upon notification.

 

Sadly, the young student died while being treated by the attending physician. The 20-year-old suspect, meanwhile, was apprehended by the authorities and was charged with homicide.
