Killer of tricycle driver in Tabuk City shot Friday night still at large

Tabuk City, Kalinga — The killer of the 38-year-old tricycle driver who was shot on March 4, 2022, at Molintas Street in Bulanao Centro is still at large and the police are on a hot pursuit and follow-up operations.

The identity of the gunman and his cohorts is being verified.

In the latest report of the Tabuk City Police, the tricycle driver died at the hospital the following morning, March 5, 2022.

The victim from Barangay Bagumbayan was drinking with his friends at a restaurant when they were told to go home, but while he was about to start his tricycle, a medium built man who was also drinking at the said restaurant shot him.

The gunman ran away from the crime scene after shooting the victim.

According to the police, the victim was rushed by his friend to the hospital and he was taken to surgery by the attending physician around 11:00 PM for the multiple gunshot wounds in his epigastric area.

Unfortunately, twelve hours later, he was pronounced dead by the attending doctor due to hypovolemic shock secondary to multiple gunshot wounds.
