KNHS represents Kalinga in Panagbenga Fest’s Street Dance Competition

Tabuk City, Kalinga – Declared champion during the 28th Founding Anniversary and 4th Bodong Festival’s Street dance competition, Kalinga National High School (KNHS) represented the province during the Panagbenga Festival's Grand Street Parade Competition - Festival Dance Category this year.


The competition scheduled on Februray 25, 2023 was held at the Melvin Jones grandstand and grounds in Baguio City.

In said contest, delegates from said school showcased their dancing prowess featuring the province’s Bodong Festival.


As recalled, KNHS outshined nine other performers in the recently-concluded Street Dance competition, one of the most awaited events during this year’s Bodong Festival.


The competition depicted the festival theme, “Lumin-awa Kalinga” of which, each contingent including the team showcased their costumes and handheld props based on their own culture, values, tourist destinations, and other “pride of the place.”

Along with KNHS, two other teams, also representing Kalinga, joined the festival's competition in Baguio City.


These are the Rizal National School of Arts and Trade (RNSAT) - the Bodong Fest’s Street Dance Competion’s third placer and the Tumadek Cultural Dance Group of the Bago tribe which represented Tabuk City in the Cultural Dance Competition.
