KPH Children's Ward and Wellness Center Diagnostic Area expect completion in November

Tabuk City, Kalinga − The completion of the Kalinga Provincial Hospital's Children's Ward and Wellness Center Diagnostic areas is expected to be finished in the first week of November.

Architect Patricia Dantic of the Department of Health–Kalinga said that the project is now 92% completed and is scheduled for final inspection next week.

According to Dantic, the Kalinga Children Ward and Wellness Center is not yet fully finished and the DOH Cordillera, through the Health Facilities Enhancement Program, has allotted a P5 million funding for the completion of its diagnostic areas which include rooms for CT scan, X-ray, MRI, control, supply, and darkroom.

Also included in the construction is the RadTech office, lobby, toilet, and pantry of the diagnostic areas.

Moreover, the DOH central office will also be giving a CT scan machine to the Kalinga Children's Ward and Wellness Center.

“Kasi nung wala pa ‘yung pondo, actually ‘yung building shell pa lang siya, hindi pa siya finished tapos itong fund namin pinag-allotan namin is tapusin namin ‘yung buong diagnostic area para ‘pag meron na ‘yung machine from central na CT scan ikakabit na lang ng supplier,” Dantic explained.

Kalinga Children's Ward and Wellness Center Diagnostic areas began construction on May 2021.
