KPH staff to undergo values orientation following complaints

Tabuk City, Kalinga – With the goal of fostering suitable norms and conduct for government employees, a values orientation workshop will be conducted this July for the personnel of the Kalinga Provincial Hospital.

The hospital management will work together with the Provincial Human Resource Management Office and the Civil Service Commission to carry out the proposed workshop.

This was relayed by KPH Officer-in-Charge, Dr. Rey Aranca, in a Facebook post on Thursday, July 6, responding to a netizen who claimed to have been ‘disrespected’ by a staff while receiving care at the hospital recently.

The netizen – a pregnant woman claimed that because the personnel was not carrying ID at the time, she was unable to identify him.

In addition to the proposed program, the hospital's policy requiring all personnel to wear IDs will also be completely implemented.

“These are some actions taken and being considered. Hoping this will improve the services of the hospital, particularly on human resources,” Aranca said.

Meantime, Aranca, on behalf of the institution and its personnel, extended his apology to the Facebook user.

He further informed that as an immediate response to the complaint, they had an emergency meeting to identify the personnel based on the complainant's descriptions.

“The personnel and staff were reminded of their behavior and were apologetic,” Aranca shared.
