Tabuk City, Kalinga – In a show of solidarity, the Bar Operations Committee of Kalinga State University organized a send-off mass and program for 37 law graduates who are set to hurdle what has been said as the most challenging exam in the country.

Held at the university’s amphitheater building over the weekend, the event gathered school officials, faculty and staff members, alumni, and law students to cheer and bolster the spirits of the bar candidates.

Reverend Fr. Romann “Bong” Macaiba Jr. officiated the mass which offered solace and turned pressure into inspiration for aspiring legal minds.

For their part, the alumni and faculty members provided essential advice ahead of the big days.

This year’s send-off program was no ordinary as the Bar Ops Committee showcased their tradition by butchering a native pig at the college building where an elder looks at its fresh liver to read what it says about the 2023 examinees’ luck.

To support the bar candidates financially, the committee earlier launched merchandise fundraising, in which jackets, shirts, and mugs were sold.

The 37 are among the 10, 867 total bar examinees who will take the examination on September 17 (Sunday), 20 (Wednesday), and 24 (Sunday) in 14 testing centers nationwide.
